NEW FOR 2024:

- Lunch is included in the course fee! We have done this to give the kitchen more foresight and to minimize the risk of food waste. We also think that the shared meals are an important part of Nordiskt Ljus.

-No festival weekend, just one last party! We will close the period with a party together on the last Friday and all participants will have the opportunity to build a program together with us based on what is available on site.

-Accommodation! We will open up for bookings of accommodation during Nordic Light in connection with course registration opening. The price has been slightly adjusted and now sheets, towels and final cleaning are included in the accommodation price. Book under the "Book accommodation" tab.

REGISTRATION & PRICES

How do I register for a course?

Press the black "Register" button on the course page you selected on the website and you will be transferred to Billetto where you buy your course tickets. If you only want to take one course, click on the course you are interested in. If you want to take a course package, click on "COURSE COMBO" and then choose the courses you want to combine, two up to as many as you want. 

Note! Make sure that the courses you want to take do not conflict with each other in terms of dates.

How do I book accommodation?

Click on the tab "book accommodation" on the ACCOMMODATION page and you will find information and get in to the booking system. We recommend everyone to stay at the school during the festival month since it's very cozy and an opportunity to create, use the spaces aorund school and hang out even after the lessons.

The course I'd like to take is full. Can I get on a waiting list?

Yes! Visit the event in Billetto, at the bottom of the page choose "Sätt upp dig på väntelistan". Choose the course you'd like to take. You'll receive an email if new spots are released. Be fast - first one to register get the spot. 

I still don't understand anything about how I register in Billetto? Help!

How to book, step by step:

1. In Billetto select "get tickets".

2. If you are a student, low income earner or pensioner use the discount price and enter the promo code "NL23" under "Order Summary" on the right where it says "Enter Promo Code" in blue.

3. If you want to take ONE course. Click on the course you want to go to the left! Then go ahead and press "Next" under "Order Summary" on the right.

4. If you want to take several courses. Click on "COURSE COMBO" at the top of the left side. Then choose which courses, two or more, and press "Next" on the right side under "Order summary".

4. Register your user profile.

5. Fill in the participant name for the courses you have chosen.

6. Select payment information & then answer the booking questions that appear

5. If you want to live at the school, click on "Book accommodation" here on the website.

What does it cost?

One course: SEK 950/750 for discounted price

Course Combo: SEK 1250/950 for discounted price

Accommodation including breakfast, bed linen, towel and cleaning SEK 430 per day.

You can stay with us the whole period of Nordiskt Ljus and if you book more than 10 nights, you will get a quantity discount of 25%!

How do I pay for my course?

You pay for the course including lunch directly when you register via Billetto, in this way you also secure your spot in the course. You can pay with Swish and credit card.

Can I change courses?

Depending on availability, you can change courses up until the application deadline. 

To do this, please email info@nordisktljus.se and write which course you signed up for and which one(s) you would like to take instead.

How old do I have to be?

You must be at least 18 years old and have graduated (but not passed) high school to take the course.

How do I know if I got a spot?

It is first come, first served and once you have paid the registration fee via Billetto, you lock your spot in the course. When the courses are full, you can always sign up on the waiting list and hope for a reserve place. Applications for the course period close 1/5.

Can I unsubscribe?

- Cancellations are made by email to info@nordisktljus.se

- You can only get back half of the course fee if you decide to cancel* but you can get the fee back for accommodation are until one day before the start of the course.

* Our courses are mainly financed by a grant from the National Education Council, which is governed by the number of participants and days - that's why we can have such low fees and offer discounts to those who need it. But if you don't show up, we don't get a grant. The cancellation fee is a way for us to continue to keep prices low.

COURSE COMBO

I want to take several courses, is that okay?

Make your own course package! Just make sure that the courses do not clash, check the dates of the courses carefully. They can start and end on the same day, but not exactly at the same time.

What is required for me to be able to apply for CSN?

To get CSN, studies of at least 15 course days under Nordiskt Ljus are required. You can combine several courses to get the right number of days. Contact info@nordisktljus.se if you have questions about applying for CSN.

I want to add courses to my course package - how do I do it?

If you change your mind and want to exchange courses in your registration for a course package, we would like you to email us at info@nordisktljus.se and we will try to solve it as best as we can and subject to space on the courses. First come first served!

ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD

How will I live?

The accommodation is in a house with 7-8 people, with its own single room with a single bed, desk and sink in the room. Shower & toilet are shared with the house. There is also a smaller living room and kitchenette in all houses. There are a few double rooms that can be booked subject to availability, but then you must contact us.

How much does accommodation & food cost?

SEK 430 per day including breakfast, bed linen, towel and cleaning. If you book more than 10 nights, you get a 25% discount. 

Is the area accessible?

The houses in the area are on ground level and there is a lift in the main building. 

ATTENTION! The hill up from the bus is very steep. If you have specific accessibility needs, please contact us in advance at info@nordisktljus.se and we will try to meet your needs as best we can.

We encourage living & eating at the school, both for the community and because the nearest shop is some distance away!

GET TO SCHOOL?

By bus:

Take the bus X4 to stop Fars Hatt. The bus leaves from Nordstan near Gothenburg Central. Travel time approx. 25 minutes. From the stop, it is a walk of about 10 minutes up to Fontinberget. Fars Hatt is in the same zon, zon A as Gothenburg.

ATTENTION! Steep hill up. You can also get off at stop Eriksdal station before and walk 20 minutes for a cheaper Västtrafik ticket.

SCHEDULES & TIMES FOR COURSES

What are the teaching times?

3 & 5 day courses:
The framework times are 10:00 - 16:00 but there will be some variations. You will get the schedule for your course in good time before your course starts.

Between 9 and 10 you can participate in joint activities on certain days, such as a forest walk in the Fontin sanctuary. In the evenings, there is an opportunity to share work with each other and with participants on other courses.

What about lessons and own work?
Most courses mix teacher-led lectures/workshops and own work with assignments. More information about your particular course will come before the start of the course.
When will I know what I need to bring and/or prepare for the course?
A couple of weeks before the start of the course, you will receive an email with everything you need to know.
