July 25-29. 5 days

In the course, we will get acquainted with moving sculpture and create a motorized wooden sculpture ourselves. We visit the nearby nature and look for an element that will become part of the work. By working with wood and taking advantage of the movement of the engine, we will create a wooden motorized sculpture that reflects something in you and your feelings. The movement in the work can be very small in gestures. We approach working through joy and learn to utilize engine movement as easily and simply as possible. We primarily use traditional hand tools. Students does not need to have previous experience in woodworking. For the inspiration, teacher will talk about his own work as an artist and show examples of motorized sculptures from other artists as well. At the end of the course, we will have a small exhibition.
